About Bulls, Bears & Backtests
A channel and a site built on one simple idea: test the strategy, publish the result, and say plainly whether it worked.
How I got here
I was born and raised in London, but I've always had a passion for exploring the world. Today I'm based in Central Europe, where I've spent the last few years turning a long-standing interest in trading into my full-time career.
My professional background is in web development and graphic design. I spent many years building websites, creating digital products and working in design, while trading on the side — particularly in crypto.
Over time, trading became more than a side interest. As the digital landscape changed and AI began transforming the design and development industries, I found myself moving increasingly toward the thing I had always been passionate about: trading, and building tools for traders.
I created this platform and the YouTube channel to share what I've learned, the tools I've built, and — perhaps most importantly — the process of testing whether these ideas actually work.
What this channel is
Every video takes one strategy or indicator, tests it over real market history, and reports the numbers. Some of them work. Plenty of them don't. Both get published, because a channel that only shows its winners isn't showing you anything useful.
Every tool built along the way is free to download. No sign-up, no email required, no upsell. They go up alongside the video that puts them through their paces, so you can see exactly what you're getting before you use it.
What I believe
Results, win or lose
If a strategy loses money in testing, that's the video. Publishing only the winners is how the rest of this industry works, and it's why most of it can't be trusted.
Free means free
Every indicator and strategy is downloadable without an account, an email address or a payment. The code is yours to read and change.
Method over outcome
Good trading isn't about finding certainty. It's about making better-informed decisions — which means showing the method, not just the result.
Get in touch
Questions, suggestions for something to test, or a tool that isn't behaving — all welcome. I read and reply to everything, usually within a day.
