Risk Disclaimer

In one paragraph: nothing here is financial advice. Everything on this site is published for education. The tools are free, the results are historical, and every trading decision you make is entirely your own. Most people who trade lose money.

This is not financial advice

Everything published here — videos, written material, indicators and strategies — is general information for education and entertainment. It is not a personal recommendation and takes no account of your circumstances, your finances, your experience or your appetite for risk.

We are not financial advisers, brokers, fund managers or analysts, and we are not regulated by any financial authority. Nothing here should be taken as a suggestion to buy, sell or hold anything. If you want advice about your own situation, speak to somebody qualified and regulated where you live.

What a backtest actually tells you

A backtest describes what a set of rules would have done over a period of history that has already happened. That is all it is. It is a description of the past, not a forecast.

Backtests on this site are run as honestly as we can manage, but every one carries limitations worth understanding:

A good backtest narrows uncertainty. It does not remove it, and it cannot tell you what happens next.

Trading involves real risk

Trading carries a genuine risk of losing money, and most people who attempt it do lose money. Leverage magnifies losses as readily as gains, and it is possible to lose more than your initial deposit with some instruments and brokers.

Never trade money you cannot afford to lose. Never trade borrowed money. Past performance — whether from a backtest, a screenshot or a live account — is not a reliable indicator of future results.

About the tools

The indicators and strategies offered here are free and provided as they are, with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise that they are free of errors, that they will continue working as TradingView changes, or that using them will make money.

An indicator draws on your chart. A strategy places simulated trades so an idea can be measured. Neither makes decisions for you, and neither should be run with real money before you have tested it yourself and understood how it behaves.

No guarantees, no signals

We do not sell signals, manage anybody's money, offer portfolio advice, or guarantee any outcome. We publish results whether they flatter an idea or not — including the ones that lose — because a channel that only shows winners is not showing you anything useful.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links, including to TradingView, are affiliate links, and we may receive a commission if you sign up through one. It costs you nothing and does not influence what we cover. More detail is on the terms page.

Your responsibility

You use this site, and anything downloaded from it, entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we accept no liability for any loss arising from your use of it, including trading losses.

If a strategy on this site looks like it makes money, the right response is to test it yourself, on your own markets, with your own costs, before risking anything. That is the whole point of publishing the method rather than just the result.
